MEGA RENT A CAR - GENERAL INFORMATION
MEGA RENT A CAR rates include unlimited mileage, full collision damage waiver with damage excess in the event of accident. All authorized drivers of MEGA RENT A CAR vehicles are covered against liability to third parties (excluding passengers in MEGA RENT A CAR vehicles) for death, injury or damage to property, driver’s responsibility for collision damages of a MEGA RENT A CAR rented car is for the forst 4500 euro for groups A, B, C, 9000 Euros for groups D,E,F. The renter will not be obliged to pay the “excluded” amounts except for the first 300 Euro for the car groups A, B, C, 500 Euro for the groups D, E, F. If he accepts to pay for each rental day an additional charge of 7 euro for each car groups A, B, C, ( Euro fro car groups D, E, F. delivery and collections are free of charge. There is an extra charge of 15 Euro for delivery of car hire to airport, accommodation or port between the hours of 23.00 and 07.00am.
Damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle, windscreen or tyres are to the hires’ responsibility and NOT covered by the insurance. All cars delivered with at least quarter tank of petrol and should be returned “as found” (circled on the car hire agreement) and paid by the renter. Please keep the cabin of the car clear, don’t bring the sand of the beach in the car.
Baby seats available on request for children up to 3 years old, with daily charge of 2 Euro.
All rates include 19% Government taxes.
All cars are NOT permitted to leave the island of Corfu.
All vehicles are insured for a maximum number of passengers.
MEGA RENT A CAR cannot accept liability for the vehicle being unsuitable for all passengers and luggage.
In the case of breakdown or mechanical difficulties, you must call the hire car company immediately, using the telephone number, which appears on the rental agreement. The local car hire company must give authority for repairs or replacement cars. If you are involved in an accident, the local police and car hire company MUST be contacted.
Loss of car key can result in a 150 Euro fine to replace the key.
All prices are payable in Euros directly to MEGA RENT A CAR.
Please ensure that you have a valid driving license with you when collecting your car.
The legal drink drive limit in Greece is one unit of alcohol. In the event of an accident the police will brethanalyse the driver if they suspect he or she has consumed alcohol. Severe penalties can be enforced if the driver id found to be over the limit, so we advise guests to abstain from alcohol when in charge of a vehicle.
The law insists that you always carry your driving license and car documents with you when driving in Corfu. Random checks and breath testing are quite common.
Although much work has been done to the Corfiot roads over the past few years, most of them, particularly country and mountain roads remain narrow and winding, and some are in poor state of repair.
Please be extra careful on the roads allowing more space between you and the person in front, as the rain can make the roads very slippy due to the constant heat on the tarmac and the shedding of the olives from the trees.We do ask that you take particular care when driving on these roads, bearing in mind the conditions of your hire car rental agreement.
